- Criminal-history repository records: contact the Illinois State Police Bureau of Identification
- Arrest, booking, and jail records: contact Macon County Sheriff Records or Corrections
- Official Illinois record inquiries: use the Illinois State Police CHIRP or Access and Review process that fits the request
- Police reports and incident records: contact the agency that wrote the report
- Expungement and sealing: file the current statewide forms with the Circuit Clerk for a Macon County case

The clerk's number is 217-624-4442, and its published payment-counter hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
